Boring Australia

So Raya was celebrated back home and hell I missed all the fun. No, I’m not an Islam, but it is still a time to be in the festive mood, am I not right? All the “pasar malam” thingy near my house, having free coconuts (hahaha!), and the obvious, Holidays!

Oh well, still had a pretty awesome weekend. Went for a trip to Mandurah AGAIN! I know I know, it seems its like the only place I visit around here. Family chose to go there so who am I to refuse right? Yin Kong tagged along for the trip as well. We stayed at a house by the canal and it was like a dream home and a perfect place for parties! So dude, we shall throw a party there when all of you guys are here. I’m sure it will be extremely remarkable!

Anyway, Mandurah was the same. Went paddle boat-ing with a faulty paddle boat that went in circles. So, just basically made ourselves tired for no reason. Played some poker and lost to Yin Kong and Allan. (luckily we weren’t playing money) I’m thinking I’m pretty bad at poker, considering I lost to 2 people that attended reckless 101 classes! HAHA!

Came back on Sunday and after a short rest, immediately hit the casino. It’s a weekly virtual you see, so my week would not have been complete without stepping foot in the sino and placing my bet on a blackjack table pot. I had a great run that night, winning 450 aud. More money to spend back home. So that 1.8k so far. Yum Yum!

On a different note, I’ve been thinking bout my 21st birthday and I can’t exactly decide what to do. Anyone has any suggestions? Really am confused on what I want to do. So yeah, try help me out on this one peeps.

Reason Happenings

So it’s been weeks since I last updated on this seem to be dead blog of mine. Oh well, just didn’t have the passion of writing anything up this past weeks. Don’t know if it is just me or the fact that I have to reply to over 40 other blog posts for an assignment. I would place my money on the latter. It isn’t easy replying to so many blog entries, as I’ve found out. It just gets so confusing sometimes. But it’s for 15% of my marks, so HELL YEAH I’m going to reply every one of those mofo’s post!

So over the past weeks, numerous things have happened. Some I would say good and some just plain sad. So I’ll actually categorize this post to make it easier for you peeps that actually take the time and effort to come and read my blog. It probably can be summed up in 1 hand, but hey, at least I do have people reading it right? So here goes.

The Good

- Allblacks have been kicking ass during the world cup, at least so far they have. Let’s hope they don’t choke during the semis like last world cup. They beat Italy 76-14, Portugal 108-13 and Scotland 40-0. Their last match for the group stage is Romania and seems they are gonna get 1 hell of a thrashing considering the kiwis did quite badly against Scotland and they would be raring to bounce back before the knock out stage.

- Manchester United put their 1-0 wins behind them in the EPL and scored 2-0 against Chelsea!
- I had a great mark of 35/40 for 1 of my mid term exams which I am really proud of because I beat Cheryl! (It seldom happens you see, so yeah!)

- I managed to hit my mark. This refers to my gambling at the sino. I was aiming to win around 1200aud before I head back home but as it is I’m already at 1325aud with 2 months to spare! So let’s see if I can go 1500 or maybe 1700? Then it will be time to partaayyYyy back home!

- We got a new dog at home. His name at is Neyo after the singer Ne-Yo. It’s a male white Shih Tzu with grey ears. A kick dog, but nonetheless very cute indeed.

- I got a new pair of limited edition shoes. It’s by Adidas and it got graffiti designs on it. So I’m pretty happy with it.

- Went for a nice meal at Crème for Cheryl’s birthday and had a small gathering at our place. Wasn’t bad, although her present almost made me go broke!

The Sad (or Bad, whichever you want to call it.)

- Manchester United came crashing out of the Carling Cup to Coventry City. The young lads at United really need to buckle up!

- Spring break is just about over and I’m still in holiday mood!

- Bailey our dog passed away last Friday after getting hit by a car the night before. He went to an animal hospital and they really did not help at all. Friday morning they told us that Bailey was stable but in fact, his left lung had completely collapsed and his right lung was severely injured. But they told that he only needed his hip to be put back in place after the accident dislocated it. But when we went to a different animal hospital after being told we should by Bailey's regular vet, thats when they told us what was really going on. The cost to actually help heal his lung was really big and that wouldn’t even be a 100% cure solution and Bailey was really in pain. So we decided to euthanize Bailey for his own good. It was a rather sad day.

So that kinda sums up what has been happening for the past couple of weeks. But the more interesting story is posted at Nelvie’s blog. Young and Dangerous VIII: LDP Brawl. HAHAHA!

Winning Start

The Rugby World Cup just started last Friday and the Allblacks are already off to a winning start. They thrashed Italy 76-14. But the Italians had it coming, they were asking to be thrashed. They didn't face the Hakka and it was somewhat considered disrecpectful. So yeah! Three cheers for the Allblacks thrashing Italy!
.
Other results for the tournament's top seeds include, Springboks edging Samoa 59-7, England with a bad win over USA 28-10, France losing to Argentina 12-17 and Australia thrashing Japan 91-3.
.
Lets just hope the Allblacks keep up their good work and don't choke like they did last world cup. GO ALLBLACKS!
.
p/s. I bought the Allblacks world cup jersey a couple of weeks back for 140 aud. Quite expensive =/

Mid Semester Break

Mid Semester break wasn’t too long ago. It was however, rather short. I mean, 7 days? that’s waaaayyy too short! Anyway, it wasn’t such a bad one considering my eyes and all. Did a lot of chilling out with friends, a norm back home but not here I assure you. So the week wasn’t a too boring one, but it wasn’t really eventful either. We did however make a day trip down south to Mandurah. I know I know, I seem to be going to Mandurah a lot these days. It wasn’t my idea anyway! It was Don’s and Jean’s idea to go there. Six of us went in two cars. Cheryl, Yin Kong, Jean, Donovan, Grace and myself. Had the usual Cicirello’s for lunch, chilled out at Dome by the docks and headed to the beach before coming back home.

At Cicirello’s, Grace and Jean went way overboard in ordering their food. So everyone kinda chipped in to help them finish and we all got stuffed! Is it a Malaysian thingy? To order much more then you can actually eat? ‘Cause most of my Malaysian friends does it. Guess we Malaysians like to bite off more than we can chew huh?

The beach was perfect for swimming, sadly however, we weren’t prepared to swim. The waves were amazingly huge it crashing onto the shore just tempted us more to go swimming, but we fought our temptation and just chilled at the beach. Yin Kong as usual did some kind of “master piece” he so loves to do. Didn’t see him do those kinda things in awhile though, so I guess he had great fun doing it!
LOL.

The girls were busy cam whoring as usual, but the surprising thing is, Donovan was really into cam whoring as well. I over heard him say to the girls, “take picture of me, take picture of me, here looks nice! faster! faster!”. So yeahhhhhh… we know who likes to take pictures a little too much. Later in the evening we took a slow drive back north. So the day was tiring considering I was driving with one eye. Came back and crashed immediately.

A Day Away

A couple of weeks back my family and I decided to just take a drive down to Mandurah which is probably around 45 minutes drive from where I stay. The beach there at Singleton (about 10 minutes from Mandurah) is freaking awesome! Not that it’s clean or there are a lot of hot chicks, but the fact that there hasn’t been any encounter with sharks of jellyfish! So yeah, I emphasize it, IT’S FREAKING AWESOME! Our day started around 10 a.m. and so reached around 11 a.m. Just kinda chilled at the beach for a couple of hours before heading for lunch and then back home.

We had lunch at Cicirello’s, although there is one shop at Fremantle which is like 30 minutes nearer, the food at Cicirello’s Mandurah is so much more worth the drive. After lunch we basically headed back home and later on to the casino at night. ;)

Twenty Seven Years

August 9th was mum and dad’s 27th wedding anniversary. However, dad wasn’t able to come downunda till the 11th. So we decided to have a little something on the 11th, I mean, you can’t exactly celebrate a wedding anniversary if the groom wasn’t around now can you.

The night started early, we were all dressed and ready to go out by 7.30 p.m. when the most hilarious thing happened. You see, us children (plus Cheryl) couldn’t decide what to get our parents for their anniversary. So we decided to do something different, we hired a limousine for the night out. Mum was around here two weeks prior, so she knew exactly what was happening, but we decided to leave my dad in the dark and surprise him. Dad was ready to go first, at sharp 7.30 p.m., he was sitting outside with his shoes on waiting for the rest of us slow pokes when the limo driver came walking in. He asked my dad, “Are you waiting for the limousine service?” and my dad, without hesitating replied, “No I’m sorry, I think you got the wrong place.” When we realized what was actually going on, the driver had already taken off. Luckily he called the house phone just to make sure or our planned would have been backfired.

After all that commotion, we waited a couple of minutes and the limousine arrived. After a few brief introductions we immediately started stuffing ourselves into the limo. It was a old Jaguar limousine that could fit 9 people, needless to say we sat quite comfortable the 7 of us. We brought our own sparkling wine and even before arriving the restaurant mum was already feeling all flushed with the little wine she drank.

We went to this place called Fuchè (which is pronounced Fush as some people say). It was like a Mexican fusion restaurant. The food wasn’t bad and the atmosphere was quite nice except for the fact that it was like an open door concept restaurant and it was freaking cold! Can’t exactly remember what we ate there though. (hmm.. need to blog earlier next time so I don’t forget details.) But I do remember what we had for dessert thought, deep fried Mars bars with ice cream. It sounds so sweet doesn’t it? Believe me, it most definitely is. It seems like after you eat it, “cacing” can start coming out of your arse.

So having our dinner and desserts, we chilled awhile and just talked and laughed till about 10.20 p.m. when the limousine arrived to pick us up to go to some retro old school club. Can’t remember the name of the club either, but it’s on the Subiaco street. We paid 5 dollars each to enter, and as soon as we entered, I started laughing ‘cause the club was playing Alex Gaudino’s destination unknown. The expression on my mum’s face was priceless. Allan, the person who suggested the club then went to ask the bartender about the music and the guy said that the retro songs are only on Friday nights. Saturdays, are trance music all the way. Guess this kinda places would make King Han and Andrew really happy. LoL.

Allan and I then decided to take a walk down Subiaco street to see if there were any other clubs or pubs with some 80’s music. We had no luck. Most of the other pubs were also playing trance music. So we decided to call the limousine driver and call it a night. We had fun though. Some of the pictures are posted below.

Brandon Vs. Casino

So it’s been two weekends in a row that we’ve visited the casino. Last week I lost 20 dollars from my winnings back to the casino. But it’s all good. Cause I got ‘em back this week. Winning 300 dollars ;) Also YinKong won around 60-70 dollars last week if i'm not mistaken. Ngeks. We're all winners at the casino. LoL.

So the score is Brandon 3 – Casino 1
