Twenty Seven Years

August 9th was mum and dad’s 27th wedding anniversary. However, dad wasn’t able to come downunda till the 11th. So we decided to have a little something on the 11th, I mean, you can’t exactly celebrate a wedding anniversary if the groom wasn’t around now can you.

The night started early, we were all dressed and ready to go out by 7.30 p.m. when the most hilarious thing happened. You see, us children (plus Cheryl) couldn’t decide what to get our parents for their anniversary. So we decided to do something different, we hired a limousine for the night out. Mum was around here two weeks prior, so she knew exactly what was happening, but we decided to leave my dad in the dark and surprise him. Dad was ready to go first, at sharp 7.30 p.m., he was sitting outside with his shoes on waiting for the rest of us slow pokes when the limo driver came walking in. He asked my dad, “Are you waiting for the limousine service?” and my dad, without hesitating replied, “No I’m sorry, I think you got the wrong place.” When we realized what was actually going on, the driver had already taken off. Luckily he called the house phone just to make sure or our planned would have been backfired.

After all that commotion, we waited a couple of minutes and the limousine arrived. After a few brief introductions we immediately started stuffing ourselves into the limo. It was a old Jaguar limousine that could fit 9 people, needless to say we sat quite comfortable the 7 of us. We brought our own sparkling wine and even before arriving the restaurant mum was already feeling all flushed with the little wine she drank.

We went to this place called Fuchè (which is pronounced Fush as some people say). It was like a Mexican fusion restaurant. The food wasn’t bad and the atmosphere was quite nice except for the fact that it was like an open door concept restaurant and it was freaking cold! Can’t exactly remember what we ate there though. (hmm.. need to blog earlier next time so I don’t forget details.) But I do remember what we had for dessert thought, deep fried Mars bars with ice cream. It sounds so sweet doesn’t it? Believe me, it most definitely is. It seems like after you eat it, “cacing” can start coming out of your arse.

So having our dinner and desserts, we chilled awhile and just talked and laughed till about 10.20 p.m. when the limousine arrived to pick us up to go to some retro old school club. Can’t remember the name of the club either, but it’s on the Subiaco street. We paid 5 dollars each to enter, and as soon as we entered, I started laughing ‘cause the club was playing Alex Gaudino’s destination unknown. The expression on my mum’s face was priceless. Allan, the person who suggested the club then went to ask the bartender about the music and the guy said that the retro songs are only on Friday nights. Saturdays, are trance music all the way. Guess this kinda places would make King Han and Andrew really happy. LoL.

Allan and I then decided to take a walk down Subiaco street to see if there were any other clubs or pubs with some 80’s music. We had no luck. Most of the other pubs were also playing trance music. So we decided to call the limousine driver and call it a night. We had fun though. Some of the pictures are posted below.

Brandon Vs. Casino

So it’s been two weekends in a row that we’ve visited the casino. Last week I lost 20 dollars from my winnings back to the casino. But it’s all good. Cause I got ‘em back this week. Winning 300 dollars ;) Also YinKong won around 60-70 dollars last week if i'm not mistaken. Ngeks. We're all winners at the casino. LoL.

So the score is Brandon 3 – Casino 1

24th June - 24th July

So they say "A picture paints a thousand words". Well here are just some random pictures during my holiday back home. Enjoy ;)

The Low Down

So it’s been three weeks since my eyes have gone bad, and I mean real bad. I fucking see double for no apparent reason. I’ve explained it time and time again to everyone and it is getting a little stressing, having to explain it so many times over. But oh well, shit happens sometimes eh?

But as some people put it, “isn’t it a good thing to see double? So when you open your wallet, you see more money which makes you happy. And also, you get to have two girlfriends, Cheryl and Cheryl.” Some even thinks that if I go to the casino I’ll probably win money. “Maybe you can see the next card coming, so you know when to stop.” Just makes me laugh.

The irritating part of it all is that I can’t drive. I just feel like I’m totally stuck. Now I understand how it is like not having a car. Damn it’s not easy. Everyday I go to uni with a patch on my eye so that it doesn’t disturb my studies. (Probably my walking as well)

Seeing that I’ve just entered my third and final year (Wohooo!) of uni, I did expect things to be tougher, but hell, this is way worst then what I expected. It isn’t enough that my eyes are bad, but the subjects I’m taking seems to be freaking tough. Let’s just hope I can cope with stuff being a “One eye Jack” and all.

Everyone I know that knows about my eyes seems so concerned for me. And I am truly grateful to everyone. People keep asking me to go check my eyes again. But what else can I actually do? I’ve done blood tests, went for a CAT scan and a MRI scan and doctors, specialist and everyone else at the hospital thinks that I’m “A O K”. They also say that I just need to wait and see how thing goes. But damn am I impatient to get back to leading my normal life. Shit happens.

Ah yes, my MRI scan experience. Damn it’s like totally boring and you definitely can’t do it if you’re claustrophobic. The damn thing is like 2 inches around your body. I felt as if I was in a coffin and having to stay there for 45 minutes did not exactly help the situation either. So it wasn’t the best of experiences, but it was definitely an experience I’ll remember.

Hope my eyes get better A.S.A.P. Haih.

Eye Problem

For some reason, I’ve been seeing double vision for the past week. No idea what made it be like that but it’s darn irritating for sure. Seen 2 optical shops, 2 general doctors, an ophthalmologist and a neurologist. So far, everything has come out great and it seems I don’t have any problems. Did blood tests, cat scans and probably am going to do a MRI scan.

BUT WHY DO I SEE DOUBLE THEN?

Until I get back my vision, I doubt I’ll be really active for this blog. So yeah, cheers mates from downunda.

A special thank you to everyone who has been around, took concern, prayed and everything else for me. Owe all of you loads ;)

Hates.

I hate it when people tell lies. Come on now, if we are “really” friends, why do you need to lie to me? Don’t you think I can be understanding enough? Pathetic lies won’t hide the truth, no matter what, the truth will always seem to find a way to resurface when least expected.

I hate it when people say something and do the other. I mean, how hypocritical can one actually get? To actually sink that low, I think I’m actually embarrassed to be called your “good” friend. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I hate it when people bitch behind my back. Oh come on now, do you think me that naïve to not know what is going on behind my back? Tell you a little secret, I’m much more aware of things that are happening around then you will ever be. I just choose to act dumb and give you the benefit of the doubt. Why don’t you come tell me to my face if you don’t like something? Do I sense a chicken? Just know this, payback will be a bitch.

I hate it when people act all “goody goody” in front of you when they actually despise you. Why such a coward? If you don’t like me, show it. Don’t act all good with me and talk thrash behind my back. I don’t need the likes of you around me, it only pulls me down. Or maybe you like that?

I hate it when people don’t know nuts and yet act as if they know the world. Keep telling yourself you know everything. I really think it’s good for your ego mate!

I hate it when people take advantage of me or take me for granted. I’m nobody’s fool, so if you think you can treat me as your fool, think again. It will only bring me to a point where I explode, and you get what was meant for you. One can only take that much.

I hate it when people show their “moods” around me. Nobody asked you to be around me when you’re moody. Especially considering you’re not my “close” friend, I’m not going to tolerate those kinda shit from you. Go show your grumpy face to someone who actually cares mate! As for me, I really don’t give a damn how you feel.

Malacca

So last Saturday, the lads (plus one girl) and I decided to do something different. We took a drive down to Malacca just for fun. And also to fill KingHan’s craving for satay celup. The drive there can be said to have been a “pleasant” drive or more of a tortoise drive because Nelvie decided to drive at 90 km/h-100km/h. So yeah, we took 2 hours to reach our destination which would normally only take around an hour and 20 minutes. But it was all good.

Actually it wasn’t all that good. Because the drive made me superbly sleepy, and thanks to all the passengers in my car, Erwin, KingHan, and Julyann, they added that sleepiness in me by sleeping. You know how you tend to feel even sleepier when you see someone sleep? That’s exactly how I felt.

After getting to Malacca, we made our way to Jonker Street for Chicken Rice Ball which wasn’t that bad but neither was it that good. We then headed to a shopping mall and just walked around and around and around. Bought some small stuff here and there and found out that Erwin and Andrew eats ice-creams like small kids. They will have ice-cream all over their mouth once their done. LOL. And also, found out that Andrew likes "side fucking". HAHAHA! We made our way to some park after shopping. Didn’t know why we were there and didn’t really care either, was too tired to do either. Just took my phone out and started playing puzzle bobble.
LOL.

And boy is Erwin’s directions bad. He couldn’t even lead us to the simplest places such as a petrol kiosk. But it was all fun and games around Malacca as we drove with no purpose and no directions until of course; Nelvie’s car did not have fuel. Then we desperately needed to find a petrol kiosk which we did by stopping and asking for directions.

We then had satay celup for dinner. I think I ate 10 sticks, very mild considering even Julyann ate more than 20 sticks. After dinner we went round finding for parking around Jonker Street, and I must say, it isn’t an easy task to do on a Saturday night. At last after 20 minutes we had parking spots. Walked around Jonker Street and ate ice kacang, cendol and some jelly stuff. Bought some sweets for my mum, “tok tok sweet”. After roughly 2 hours at Jonker Street, we decided to head home. Was another 2 hour drive home and everyone was tired. Sent Julyann and KingHan home then we headed to USJ9 Tanjung for a drink and supper. Came back and immediately crashed after brushing my teeth, it was a long tiring day but we had lots of fun. Pictures can be found on Nelvie’s blog, we weren’t cam whores that day at all.
